3D COLORED ORNAMENTS ON BAGS IN SPRING SUMMER 2017 COLLECTIONS
One of next Summer trends I really like is what I call the “toy bags”. They are multicolored and generally square shaped bags with compositions that call to mind a collage or with 3D applications of flowers and funny subjects made with leather. A mood that leads back to childish atmospheres.
Among the collections that I have seen during last Milan Fashion Week and that follow this trend I wish to point out some:
MICHELE CHIOCCIOLINI, a company based in Florence and founded by the designer and his sister Francesca. Michele has got a degree in architecture and as a matter of fact his bags recall architectural forms but always with a sense of softness. There is no question, my favorite is the “taxi clutch”!
ALESSANDRO ENRIQUEZ is a a young designer and journalist, two years ago he launched “10 x 10 – An Italian Theory“, a project that puts together food and fashion. His creative research is influenced by Sicily, where he was born, and his works include cloths, accessories, furniture and patterns. His bags, shown below, can perfectly be included in the trend.
An Italian family company that from three generations has been producing luxury brands has recently introduced into the market its own brand, CARDITOSALE. It’s a bag collection with a strong character, self-ironic and cheeky, and its manufacture follow the Made in Italy tradition in full.
Again ironic and funny are ANNALISA CARICATO‘s artisanal creations. On her bags you can find hand-sewn floral decorations. Alpine landscapes with little lakes and mountain fauna. The packaging is a beautiful object in itself and additionally, in every box, there is a T shirt matching the bag.
THE 3D DECORATION CAN BE REMOVED
Also THE DOTS goes after this trend giving furthermore the possibility to customize. The Dots is a season-less collection made of classic timeless shape bags, but no risk to be boring, the bags can be transformed through a magnetic leather cover with bright colors that you can take off when you feel more “monocromatic”.
